Camille

If you were to ask Camille Michaels what she does for a living, most people would be suprised perhaps shocked. After all not many people living in Iowa have ever seen a porcupine. Yet Camille has emerged as one of the most well known roach makers in America.

What started as a labor of love for her son, has led to a journey lasting over 40 years. Over these years she has received many honors, including being commissioned to make roaches foe a History Channel documentary on the Blackhawk Wars.

All Honors aside, Camille takes the greatest pride in seeing her roaches being worn, whether by kids taking their first steps on the dance floor or by Dance Champions.

Camille lives in West Burlington, Iowa with her husband Dick. Together they travel the Rendezvousband Pow Wow circuit extensively throught the year.
